Say hello to my little site.
We have gotten ourselves here to a point where our little site that could is up and about. This has taken me a little bit longer than I was anticipating, even as I reevaluated minute by minute :) I suppose when I say that I have been busy, I wasn't lying. To be honest I have never developed a full stack web app project from start to finish by myself though, so I think I did alright considering.
Through this time since the beginning of the year I have also been undergoing something of a recovery, managing some pretty severe burnout (Neurodivergent Burnout, iykyk) and some other physical health challenges, which I have to be honest has not made doing something this audacious particularly easy. But we got there, and I am alive (I believe).
What we see here with the eyeYou website is the minimum stage of development that I was comfortable showcasing right from word go. I wanted to indicate from the start the scope of eyeYou as a business and what we will offer, and what we hope to accomplish. I was of the attitude that I wanted to start how I plan to continue, and the foundation and development of a business is not the time to be making any compromises. At least not in my opinion, or experience in doing big audacious kinds of things. Also, I am not very well known for my supernatural compromise-making abilities.
Obviously that being the case, expect to see quite a lot more popping up and becoming available across the site, from content, to services, to other interesting things to look at, purchase eventually, and speak to us about. This will include an ever growing list of Topics in the Topics & Resources page, extensions to the Performance Model, and certainly not least, eyeYou's Surveys & Psychometrics. Those who really know me will know that this last piece is my thing-de-resistance - my whole entire deal. This site is built atop a surprisingly sturdy and fertile technical foundation, that was designed specifically to power performant psychometrics and similar tools. We are literally just getting started :)
It is not lost on me (already pointed out twice :D ) that there are a few typos through some pages - so that's how you know an LLM hasn't written it all for me lol. Those will be fixed up in short order. There is much to do and clean up, but now we have the privilege to do that while finally doing something else with my time and speaking to people about the Psychology of Human Performance, without having too much of my focus split.
I look forward to seeing you more. Thanks for visiting :)
